Upciti Private Limited was founded in 2022 by Tarun Bajaj, an advocate of sustainable mobility to address modern day mobility needs. Climate change is a paramount challenge to address which cannot be solved solely by innovative products but requires a behavioural shift in people's attitude.
At Upciti (उपचिति), a Sanskrit word that stands for continuous progress and development, we are working on solutions to ease this transition.
Our solutions are largely indigenous, offering great efficiency, comfort and riding experience. With special attention to charging and smart riding decisions, riders will get better range and the convenience of fast and easy charging. Our innovative solution aims to disrupt mobility on two wheels.
We offer cost-competitive products to scale-up the infrastructure for personal and shared micro-mobility. We build products to serve the end customers and act as a solution provider to enable our partners to reach a broader audience and address the issues of sustainability.

Climate change is a reality that we all live and breathe today. Most urban commutes last for 10 to 20 kilometeres on an average - distances that can be covered using efficient micro-mobility solutions like bicycles and pedelecs (pedal electric cycles) rather than cars.
Convenience, flexibility and connectivity should form the basis for this transformation, while ensuring that commutes are safe and fun.
Being a core believer of “more from less”, I always wondered if there was a faster and quicker way to travel to and fro, home to college/office. Thanks to the unplanned expansion of some of the larger towns and cities across the globe, I spent nearly 2,76,480 minutes or 192 days in commutes (calculated this figure considering my daily commute of 15 km at an average speed of 15 kmph lasted for 1 hour)!
The answer to my question further strengthened and solidified while I was studying for a Master’s degree. It was only a matter of time until I realized that we needed innovative solutions aimed at disrupting mobility on two wheels. And this is how Upciti was born.
